On April 1, 2025, Lion Corporation (Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Masayuki Takemori) will launch OraCo, a new service that collaborates with dental clinics to promote good oral care habits. In our quest to promote preventive dentistry, this new service will offer individual support from dental hygienists to enhance oral care habits.

1. Background of Introducing the New Service
Eating, speaking, laughing—these and other functions of the mouth are crucial to our ability to live comfortably and enjoyably. As such, good oral health ensures an improved quality of life. To maintain good oral health, appropriate self-care habits and regular visits to dental clinics are important. While oral hygiene instruction provided during dentist visits encourages appropriate self-care, we found that patients had trouble keeping up with what they learned at clinic visits. *2
Addressing this point was the key motivation behind the development of this new service. Through it, dental hygienists provide online support that helps individuals develop better oral care habits, leveraging Lion’s expertise in oral care education and network of dental hygienists.

2. Service Overview
Patients visiting cooperating dental clinics will be able to use the service at the recommendation of their dentists.
How to Use
1. Register via a smartphone application
The patient’s dental clinic will issue a special registration card with information on the patient’s oral condition. The patient then creates an individual profile on the OraCo application and uploads their registration card to start using the system.
2. Receive online support
The application provides oral care habit-promoting content based on the information the patient provided through the registration form. Dental hygienists advise patients who communicate their progress or concerns via the chat function, offering tips on using tools or making and maintaining good oral care habits.
