Lion Corporation (Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Masayuki Takemori) launched the oral healthcare service, “Okuchi Plus You,” in July 2022 to support service for corporations under the KENKO Investment for Health. We are excited to share that this service has now been provided to a total of 100 companies and over 50,000 employees as of December 2024. Going forward, Lion will continue to expand this service to various points of contact to contribute to people’s dental and mouth health and thereby improve their quality of life.
In July 2022, Lion launched “Okuchi Plus You,” a support service for corporations under the KENKO Investment for Health aiming to enrich the everyday lives of their employees through the promotion of dental and mouth health. The service includes oral health seminars, saliva testing, e-learning videos and other content. As of December 2024, Lion is providing this service to over 100 corporations and over 50,000 employees, and primarily to companies that are focused on the KENKO Investment for Health.
Despite their prevalence around the world, many oral diseases like gum disease are preventable. The importance of oral health was recently reemphasized by the World Health Organization (WHO) adopting a resolution on oral health in 2021. Announced in 2022, the Japanese government’s Basic Policy*1 includes specific mention of lifelong dental examinations (“universal oral health checks”), and the 2021 Survey on KENKO Investment for Health included a question about dental and mouthhealth education for employees as part of improving healthcare literacy. This is drawing further attention to promoting dental and mouth health. Against this backdrop in society, an increasing number of companies are striving to improve oral healthcare as part of the KENKO Investment for Health, and we expect this to continue to expand in the future.

This service aims to raise employees’ awareness of oral healthcare in addition to providing comprehensive support for putting what they have learned into practice and the creation of new habits. In addition to the activities listed below, the service provides such self-care items as toothbrushes.
Lion will continue to expand this service further to contribute to promoting the KENKO Investment for Health for corporations through the dental and mouth health of their employees.
