Lion and Akashi City Form Gender Equality Promotion Cooperation Agreement

Lion Corporation (President: Masazumi Kikukawa) formed a cooperation agreement related to promoting gender equality with Akashi City in Hyogo Prefecture on October 9, 2022. As part of the initiatives under the agreement, on the day the agreement was officially formed, Lion and Akashi City jointly held a seminar to promote the sharing of housework, titled “Kaji x Kaji Happy Share.”

This year, Akashi City has newly established the Gender Equality Promotion Office, to promote gender equality across a wide range of settings, aiming to enable everyone to express their individuality, exercise their abilities and thrive regardless of their gender. To promote gender equality and contribute to regional revitalization in partnership with Akashi City, Lion will leverage the housework sharing knowhow it has cultivated through the Happy Marriage City Promotion Project and Kaji x Kaji Project initiatives that it implements in cooperation with various municipalities as well as information useful for carrying out housework, such as laundry and dish washing, that it has accumulated over the years.

Eligibility: Open to all, including those participating with their partner, with their child, or by themselves
Topics: Eliminating the gap in understanding of housework between partners, building positive relationships through mutual affirmation, etc.
