Lion Corporation Selected for Inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia/Pacific Index for a Fourth Consecutive Year

For a fourth consecutive year, Lion Corporation (President: Masazumi Kikukawa) has been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia/Pacific Index (DJSI Asia/Pacific), one of the globally recognized ESG (environment, social and governance) investment indices in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) series.

The DJSI series was collaboratively developed by U.S.-based S&P Dow Jones Indices and Switzerland-based RobecoSAM, which conducts surveys and analyses of corporate ESG data. Companies are analyzed in terms of economic, environmental and social factors. Based on this analysis, leading companies in terms of sustainability performance are included in the indices.

This year’s DJSI Asia/Pacific comprises 158 companies (including 82 Japanese companies) selected from among major companies in the Asia/Pacific region. Lion was selected for inclusion in the Household & Personal Products Industry Group.

In line with its founding spirit of benefitting society through business activities, Lion will continue working with an awareness of the social role expected of it to reinforce its ESG efforts in order to help realize a sustainable world.
